Skiing Adventures 2010

We had lots of snow this year. Since I was working in Jan and Feb we did not go skiing till March. We are definitly fair weather skiers anyway. But we still landed a blizard. It was fun for a little while and then it got too heavy and cold and not so fun. Not sure we will try that again.
On the way up everyone was still excited. Well and a little sleepy.

We met up with the Vauderlaus.

Brad is always so tough. He and Drew skiied till the end. We had to find them and pull them off the hill.

Jared and Leah were troopers.

At the end some were too tired and grumpy to smile for the camera. But they soon warmed up.

A couple weeks later we went again and it was sunny and perfect. Jason, Andrea, Leah and I had a blast.

The last time Jason and I went, we didnt ski, we tubed, Jasons choice. I think we road this hill 50 times. It was a lot of fun. It was really fast to start.

A boy in a suit

Jason is so handsome in a suit. And he loves wearing a suit. I am sure he loves all the compliments he gets. Lately he doesnt want to change on sunday, he wants to keep his suit on, especially if we are going to Aunt Ruths house for dinner.
He has been dressing himself for the last year or so. He even loves to stand in front of the mirror and comb his hair a certain way. It is fun to watch. I think going to church each week gives a boy practice to become a man regurally in so many ways.
The first time Jason completely dressed himself last fall, I was just laughing inside. He was so cute. Sometimes he thinks its best to wear his tie outside his vest so everyone can see it. He loves this reindeer tie.

Starting to wear a tie was hard.

It took some getting used to. Jason's first experience was not a happy one. It did not help that his shirt was a little tight on his neck. It definitly was a gradual process over the last couple years, and still sometimes he does not want to wear a tie. Here are some pictures of the first tie experience, back when Jason was two in 2006.

Jason has had some great opportunities to get dressed to the nines. He has been to three weddings. First he was the ring bearer in Uncle Adams wedding in October 2007.

Jason stole a kiss from the bride. Initially Jason thought he was marrying Brittany. He loves his cousin Brittany.

Willy Wonkas Umpa Lumpa

Jason was part of a theater class to be in a play - Willy Wonka. As part of the youngest age group he was an umpa lumpa. The class was fun and prepared them to be in the play. Then the two weeks of the play there were 9 performances, most of them late, so that was tiring. But he never complained and he loved being an umpa lumpa and getting his hair done green. It was a good experience.

The juniors came on stage 5 times in 3 different costumes. They were candy kids, then umpa lumpas and squirrels. This kept them busy and got them pretty tired out.



After the show was a bit of a challenge, Jason was so tired. It was hard to get good pictures with people that came to watch. You had to turn him upside down!

Spring Fever

I love the spring, and it seems we just cant wait to get outside. Gardening, playing, swimming.



Jason cant wait to get into the pool by spring.
