A week at Inquira

This was my second week away from Jason. I had one work trip when Jason was 8 months old, and this trip was the second. It is very hard feeling. I saw many of my bay area friends. Craig, Denise, Zip, Maureen, Mary, and I have to say I would never want to go back to that life. I love these people, but I have such a good thing.

It was great to spend the week with my new collegues at Inquira. We have just found out that we are being bought by Oracle, so it was full of talk of change and what to expect, as well as getting to know the folks that I work with. Putting faces to names. There are two here from India, two from China (Hanson and Selena), three from New York (Quincy, Bill S, Stephanie), two from England (Simon and Basit), Joe from St. Louis (who's spot I took) and rest from the west (myself, Helen, Albert, Oliver, Bill M. and of coarse our crazy manager Debbie who holds it all together)

This job has truely been a blessing and the path meant to be. It is great working at home. I start early and am done early. It's good to have a lot more time with Jason and for him to have more or less a mom at home and more home time. I hope I can do it for a good long time.

Soccer starts

Jason loves soccor, and I like watching soccer. It is fun to watch. Both of us pretty much think baseball is boring. For 5 months or so Jason looks forward to soccer. This year Jason is a 'kicking ninja'.

The team has a really good coach which I am happy about, Coach Kristen. I think they are going to learn a lot about soccor.

Jason has also decided this year he is going to be a defender, he likes playing back and making sure the ball never gets close to the other end.

Puppy Time

We love playing with the puppy. She is a lot of fun, and she has razor sharp little teeth. I didnt expect I would be training two at the same time, but it is about as much work to train Jason how to play with a puppy. With the little teeth you always have to have a toy. And Sammy loves to play. And she loves to cuddle. She is an extremely smart dog, probably my smartest.

She likes water but so far we dont think she likes to get in the water. She knows to stay out of the pool area.

Jason loves to pick her up.

Everywhere she wants to be in the mix and that is good, as long as we teach her her place. Most of the time she is in the kennel or on a leash.

Kiera is just part of our family now...we have loved having her be with us for the last two years. We tried to brighten her day with a few favorite things, including us!

Jason's First Tooth Pops Out

Breaking news...Jason has lost his first tooth. He is so happy, excited and pleased. Such a simple thing and he has had to wait a while. He has asked me for the last two years when he would lose a tooth. We even looked up when I lost my first tooth. Which was 6 and a half as well. So we suspected it would be sometime in the next few months since he tooth was getting wiggly. He was biting down on some toy to make it do something and out popped the tooth. He was very surprised.

Jason put the tooth under his pillow and got a gold dollar coin for it.

First Day of Second Grade!

Jason has been very excited to go to school with his cousins and to be in the second grade. We decided together second grade and he has done a lot of work this summer to prepare. Reading, some writing and some math. It has been a good summer.

A last summer horrah before school starts in two days. We had a lot of fun seeing shows and talking to the Animals.

The tiger really was interested in reading the kids maps.

AMA buddies - Last Week before School starts

Do these guys look like they have something up their sleeves?

Jason will be going to Dry Creek next week. This is his last week of AMA activities for awhile. I am sure he will miss his AMA buddies - Zachary and Casper, the language they speak together and all the fun things that they do. There have been a lot of fun activites this summer and Jason has spent several weeks at AMA. This week was legos camp.
