Davis Poses

Are these beautiful people or what...especially when you know them.

These are some crazy people too.

Off to Marine World to swim with the Dolphins

My big birthday wish was to swim with the dolphins and so we all went to Marine world and Andrea and I swam with the dolphins...it was AMAZING.

We were in the water with them for about 25 minutes and most of the time we were just hanging out learning about all the things they do, looking down their throat, rubbing their skin off (they lose 9 coats of skin a day), playing with their blow hole, which also where all the sounds they make come from.

At the end of our time we got some rides and some kisses and hugs.

Jason had his own encounter with the dolphins. I wasnt there but the crowd was calling him dolphin whisperer because this dolphin just kept coming up to him and and swiming in front of him trying to play with him.

We also caught a few rides, those amazing rollar coasters that spin your insides into the wrong places, saw some shows, fed the giraffes.

Notice any similarity between these last two pictures??? !!!

We also got season passes and will be back plenty next year. Marine world is one of my favorite places.

We went to Chevy's on the way home and we were all pretty tired from two days of partying! Do we look tired??? I think Ruth was the most tired!

It was a great bday weekend. Thanks Davis's!

Turning Forty-One, yep 41

I told Jason that after you turn 40 you count your years differently. For every 10 years you add one to 40. Which means I am 41. The next day he says to me, Kiera and Aunt Ruth say you are really 50. Is that true Mom? I said it just depends on how you count it and what your units of measure are. Anyway, I think I am doing pretty dang good for 50. I have whats most important to me right now, a wonderful family, spiritual grounding, good friends, a very blessed life, with health and abundance, my son Jason who is a huge light for me, and plenty of learning, growing and helping in front of me.

I had the day off, and we packed it with fun. The best way to start off anyday is hoot-en-nannies. We love our hoots, and now that we are getting 3 eggs a day from our chickens we can have them every day if we want.

Then Jason and I went miniature golfing. I love hanging out with Jason and just laughing and playing. We played a few arcade games after golfing and he got this plastic frog that you can make jump and we spent 20 minutes just sitting there making the frog jump at each other. That was fun 6 year old time.

Then we got some more fun kids and went swimming. It is still in the 90s here and very nice to swim.

We had a fun party at Ruth's. It was fun to have good friends around and talk and laugh and catch up. It was a little bigger than I had thought, Ruth took some say in who was there, but the food was great and I think everyone had a great time.

The Gibsons brought their chair for me to sit in.

We were going to watch a movie in the backyard and we ended up just talking instead. The kids did watch a movie.

And my favorite gift was a necklace from Jason that has a heart on it, and says Mom, In my heart I remember every hug you have given me.

Ruth always throws the best party, thanks Ruth and Rod for the festivities, it was great fun. Thanks for making it special. Its great to have the best sister right around the corner everyday.

Jason rides a bike!

Ok I have bought several bikes for Jason and he just has not been that interested. We did some riding on training wheels, but when it came to taking the training wheels off, he just didnt want to do it. Leah on the other hand LOVES anything with wheels. She learned to ride a bike very early and has wanted to go on bike rides with us for a while. So today when we came home from school, we decided to go swimming, as it was 90ish degrees. Leah says to Jason, 'Jason why dont you learn to ride a bike today and I will help you!' She was such the great big sister. And Jason says sure. And so with one push he was off. He still has to master starting off and turning, but it really didnt take any tries at all to ride.
