Jason loves to have playdates with his friends. Leah Burnet is one of his favorite friends from AMA. They had a lot of fun playing volleyball, swimming and playing in the backyard. Leah has been Jasons longest school friend. The one he kissed in the tunnel this last year. We wont forget that story.

Mr McGregor - Happy Birthday Day!
Everytime I look at these pictures I think of Mr McGregor and how sometimes I feel a little like I am not doing everything I should. Sometimes I am sneaking around the garden! This is my Dad and he is amazing, he has done well in life. He has overcome a lot. These were also taken on Dad's birthday. He is 84 and he loves telling people his age. Most people think he is in his 60's I imagine. He can still probably walk faster than anyone.
He told me he was growing something like 70 tomato plants and when I asked him why its because he wants to give away a lot of tomatos.

The State Fair
Another tradition...we love the fair. Always milking the cow or goat, seeing the new born animals (we have yet to see one birthed) and the petting zoo, the rides, the terrible food (well slurpees and fruit are not so bad!), riding the sky tram and trying to catch more exhibits. This year we did catch a few more exhibits and we did a few less rides. David came with us and that was a lot of fun.
I wanted to have the boys crawl inside this pen and take a picture right in front of this big guy!
This mom was trying to get two young ones to latch on, I cant imagine!

Roosters....what happened?
Our two favorite hens turned out to be noisy roosters. Hedwig and Izzy. Both loved to have Jason hold them. They are the two he trained to take a nap when they were little. So sad to give them up, but they went to a good home with lots of land to run around on.
We got rid of the first crower and then the next one starts crowing. 5:30AM is a little early to hear crowing.

"Mom - getting a puppy has changed my life!"
Jason got out of the bath tonight and told me getting a puppy has changed his life. He was very serious about it. Top reasons a puppy has changed Jasons life:
1 - He has someone to run around with and chase him.
2 - We didnt have to train any of our other pets (the lizard, hamster and fish) and we have to train the puppy.
3 - She is lots of fun.
4 - She will hide in forts with him.
5 - She follows him everywhere.
6 - She has gotten her sharp little puppy teeth into him already.
7 - She is always happy to see him.
I had started looking for a dog. Ruth and Rod have been telling me that they are so surprised I had not gotten a dog yet. So I started looking in hopes of finding something by Jasons birthday. I went to the Santa Cruz SPCA and found this little lab mix. She is very cute. And she and Jason are in love. I am enjoying it as well.
A great 4th of July addition. I guess I am not in very many of these shots... The first five nights she pretty much kept me up all night not liking being in her crate. And it has taken her a week to accept she needs to go potty where I want her to go potty. She is a pretty strong willed girl. But she has met her match I can assure you! She is very smart and we are loving having her here with us and she is learning very quickly.
