First Baseball Season come and gone

Today was the last day of baseball. I never thought I would enjoy baseball so much...but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The practices, the games, the opening day, the trek to the Rivercats game (AAA) and ah, the sunflower seeds and sitting in the sun and relaxing. We started out with a little rain, but over all it was a very pleasant season. I think everyone on Jason's team was new to baseball. At first they didnt know anything. They would hit and run to the pitchers mound. Even at the end they were still forgetting to tag the bases. But I think they all learned how to get around the bases, to hit and to watch where the ball was hit.

Here were some of Jasons first moments. He would wear his hat croocked, put his glove in his mouth or on his head, look for bugs in the grass, play in the dirt; all the boys had a hard time paying attention to start.

The boys always like the spirit. The A's were the most spirited t-ball team. They loved the cheers, the high fives, and especially running through tunnel at the end of each game.

For awhile Jason tried to convince me he never wanted to play baseball and I should let him quit. He probably tried that for the first month.
Then something happened, Jason learned to hit the ball. He started to enjoy it more. And then he learned to field the ball and more, if he played on the pitchers mound he would get a lot of balls and be able to throw them to firstbase. Then he started to love it.

I love this picture, the scrappy field, the clouds and the water tower, it looks so midwest. It looks like baseball.
